Modern romcoms are either paced so fast or so slow ffs

I'll put it differently - most of the modern romcoms are either rushed or dragged out. I still prefer the rushed ones though (if they at least have a proper ending), the dragged out ones are slowly becoming impossible to read. It's gotten to the point where I've seen a few mangas with the author just inexplicably and artificially resetting the romantic progress of the main couple after every major event to make it longer.
