I think everyone somewhat knew the ending going to be like. Most of the time harem mangaka sucks at ending their series that satisfied the fanbase. More girls mean more fan diversities. So this one also took the easy way out with an open-ending like many other such as Yuragi-sou and Shoumin Sample

Thank you for ending this manga, it was a good read.
The end didn't disappoint me that much tbh, it was something light and stupid as all the manga has been. It was pointless to repeat "I need time" two times, but I never really expected anything from the undecisive mc, he has always been like that.
All in all, this wasn't good, but still one of my favourites.

harem manga are now only getting their balls, such as kanojo mo kanojo and hyakkano. this is simply a relic of the time when it was super popular to have teasing harem manga that never ended with a harem, almost always a first girl wins or open end like this one.

Yep as the translator said in the notes, zero character development for Ishimaru. Back to running away as always...

Also several characters just fell of the map, like the Prez. Pretty terrible ending, at least we got a bunch of epilogues so pick your favourite girl.

I have seen much worse ends, there was a manga that got completed after so many years (forgot the name), but the gist is... the MMC and FMC confess had sex (it is a mature story), and they say they want to live together but the things is, the guy is the editor of her books and notices the quality of her work dropping and says that he prefers to end their relationship because he thinks she should be the author he loves before the woman he loves... yeah it felt ick. I am resuming a lot and being imprecise but this is it.

This one... to me barely an end worth being slightly annoyed. I knew exactly what type of series this was when I started reading but I had loads of fun because the characters were really well made and situations truly funny, and the art being good helps too, Riko was my favorite and the other ones were all close.
