The author’s previous work IMO ran fine, ~5 volumes, not sure if it was truly axed, but I think the ending was sufficient.
This one I think is potentially a better series than previous, but doesn’t even get to flesh out on some of its original premises (otherworld exploration). The author should choose another publisher/magazine for the next series so it doesn’t get nipped in the bud again.

I kinda disagree with the ending of the previous work. In the Previous work, we had honey over 90%of the time Be in a one sided love and when they finally become a couple, we don’t even get to see a proper date.. honey was pinning for hayate and it would have been nice to see honey realize that she’s living the dream..

I agree with you on their relationship, we don’t get to see enough of the character interactions without something else hounding them, especially after attaining peace.

My wording was poor, by “sufficient ending” I was referring to how by the end of the story I felt the author managed to tick the minimum boxes and have some fun as well, for example, all the relevant characters managed to get some back story/thoughts told, we get to understand the antagonist more, the powers were explained, they get to do some sentai stuff at the end, etc. This one in comparison is abrupt.

Having been long enough that I don't remember who is named what, the chars looking a lot alike and even changing how they look (multiple times), the iconic gear used to differentiate being stolen, and sharing powers alongside them looking different... I am so confused.

I hope so too. I think these kind of series really need to pick their magazine well, so they’ll have time to establish their stories well.
