Nintendude1997 means since 4-d man became the last human (earthling) became of declining birth rates in the 26th century

if he destroyed the earth in a time that's clearly before he became the last human (since there are clearly lots of humans still around when daniel's on earth), he would have caused a paradox in which he wouldn't have been born.

I don't think the paradox has anything to do with his ancestors since he's already been born at the time of the apocalypse. The problem is that he stopped himself from becoming what he is now (4d man). However since he has became god like maybe his existence might defy any kind of logic and causality or something like that...
Or maybe he's just not going to become that 4d man like we're assuming lol

ok... so the 4dman did all of this destroying earth and letting daniel live so that a half human half overlord will born basically 4d needs the twin... but why did 4d saved daniel in (insert chapter) when daniel slipped and wandered in space?... does the 4d only need the twins or does he also need daniel as his successor?... or this 4d that saved daniel is another 4dman in another dimension?...

@cgr I’m guessing the time travel framework the author is using has the timeline where the 4D man came from split whenever he time travels. The earth he destroyed isn’t the one where he came from. That fits with how he plays with the universe like Minecraft. Alt timelines is the most common solution to the great grandfather paradox anyhow.
