Yeah, so I guess it's him surpassing his father in one specific way but not in general.
On another note, these latest chapters are kind of lame. I do like the mom girl, she's pretty cool, but it's not really 'how to fight.' Seong Taehoon is best when he's played off the hijinks of the rest of the cast, but at the moment it's just watching badass prettyboy number eleventy thousand be badass prettyboy and casually destroy everyone, and there's like a gajillion Manhwa for that sort of thing.
It's fine with Hobin finally coming into his own, because that's basically payoff for the entire rest of the story and we saw him struggle so much for so long. Taehoon on the other hand has always been an overdog. I don't think it's good to have him be the sole character for too long, though I imagine he's popular with the readers.
