This story really is starting to go all over the place, I feel like I can see the tracks being laid down an inch in front of my face.

Also Taehoon is meant to have surpassed his father way back then they took out Jinho the first time... Though perhaps that's just for Taekwando specifically, since the dad apparently is a multi-art master.

I believe it was referring to like only spinning technique. Not fighting skill or prowess yet.

He managed to do the spinning technique his father could not (Because of the whole genius bullshit). But his father is still strong af.
In Manager Kim (A spin-off series) we learn his father is (probably) ex-spec ops.

Yeah, so I guess it's him surpassing his father in one specific way but not in general.

On another note, these latest chapters are kind of lame. I do like the mom girl, she's pretty cool, but it's not really 'how to fight.' Seong Taehoon is best when he's played off the hijinks of the rest of the cast, but at the moment it's just watching badass prettyboy number eleventy thousand be badass prettyboy and casually destroy everyone, and there's like a gajillion Manhwa for that sort of thing.

It's fine with Hobin finally coming into his own, because that's basically payoff for the entire rest of the story and we saw him struggle so much for so long. Taehoon on the other hand has always been an overdog. I don't think it's good to have him be the sole character for too long, though I imagine he's popular with the readers.

The whole story went downhill when Gaeul's father turned Hobin into a killing machine within 1 chapter.
Same shit happened in Lookism (by the same author).
And this arc is just meaningless. It does not develops Taehoon as a character nor does it add anything new and interesting to the story (Other than "Look! Lee Jinho sure is a bad guy huh?"). At least that Seo Haesul guy looks strong so maybe Hobin will strugle fighting him but I doubt he will need any crazy unusual technique to win the fight (Like he needed against every antagonist that came before Seongjun).
