X.1, X.2, X.5, etc are for extras and bonuses and special omakes. It's pretty silly to have a chapter and then have the same chapter again, but with fixes. I guess it's just common sense that if you make mistakes in a chapter, you would fix the mistakes, not create a whole new chapter with the fixes. True, you /could/ delete the chapter and then re-upload the chapter with fixes, but that orphans the comments that were made before you made the fixes.
Also, the guidelines state that:

2.4.3 Don't add your own made up descriptors to any field, such as "[HQ]" or "v2" to the chapter title. The only allowed descriptors at this time are "Censored/Uncensored".

and

2.4.6 Use decimals (1.1, 1.5, etc.) for chapters that are split into parts, or for bonus chapters/volume extras/etc.

Not who you asked, but: It keeps the chapter list clean of unnecessary duplicate entries, and streamlines reader experience. Otherwise, there's going to be confusion about what the differences are, and why the outdated one wasn't replaced.
