The funny thing was, the first time i saw the duke i was hoping he'd be a good guy to subvert the boring trope. Which he always was. I could be mad but when you see the head butler didn't stop the fight with gray you start to see it was more and more like a play than a genuine problem . Nice.

It's weird that this is still ongoing. This felt like the rushed ending trying to tie up loose ends after the publisher axed the Manga. Maya's intentions have always been clear, but the dad and "fake fiancé" came out of left field. All it was missing as an, "It was all a dream." line.

What's even the story from here? School shenanigans? Gray fights off a harem? It feels like that's all just umm... nothing compared to their love blossoming and fighting off their social status. Like the do basically have the dad's approval and it seems like smooth sailing from here. Beyond all that, man we've just left the initial premise so far in the dust. A short gag with the dad is the first time we've done the whole "clearing up misunderstandings" bit in a while. If nothing else hopefully the school setting brings that back.

Tbh i've always said that the WN and LN are different in term of content, the manga was following the LN for the most part, though the manga changed this part a bit from the LN too anyway (note that the WN is more combat/battle harem focused and the LN is romance focused, thats the biggest different aside from the LN changing and adding some characters, like mc sister or Maya the head butler)

Difference here too is that this point in the WN is halfway it, Gray already have alot of combat experience so the resolution was different, in the LN this is a bit past half LN Vol.1 and he isn't attending the academy yet, but because the LN doesn't have any combat focus like the WN, there is none of that in it
