This is absolutely not a harem story, I haven’t finished volume 3 of the novel yet but so far there isn’t any romance or character that could be considered a love interest for Violet. The author goes to great lengths to describe how pure and platonic Violet’s relationship with Xiao Guang is. And while the princess does comment on how great Violet is a few times, at most it’s one-sided.

doesn't turn into another one of those "advertisements for the novel" comics.

It likely is, the adaptation style reminds me of hail that king. So likely they will not do everything. But kunir could have been rezzed off screen, not uncommon for these types to skip things

idk, Violet does refer to her as a "little dragon" constantly throughout the novel though.

Poor Kunnir he was one of the better minor chracters in the web novel. I suppose he was not majorly story relevant, even though I liked his appearance at the end of vol 3 which implied he had undergone a whole off screen arc.
