Also general comment rather than a reply: Since nobody mentioned it, the medical fees are set at about $23,804,000 at current rates if I didn't read the yuan amount wrong. Since she's gonna be there a while that's probably only going to get bigger from now on unless he gets his ass in gear and strikes it rich.

But seriously is that a typo or is future China super deep down the inflation hole and we're just supposed to intuit that 23 mil isn't quite as much anymore? Did the converter miscalculate it? Maybe that hospital is the best in the galaxy or something since I can't understand how her stay is costing so much already unless that guy that seemed to have set this all up also owns the place and is sticking the MC between a rock and a hard place. Which does sound plausible I guess.
