She has enough allies, that even if she fails to awaken powers quick enough she can avoid execution.
She as made protection deal with her grandfather, and if she gets imprisoned she has friends who can break her out.

She doesn't have access to anything with offensive power against her, but she didn't waste her time.
I won't pretend that it's not a slow burn though. Season ends and still no real interaction with Cosette?

Nope the Ressonance-Thing has nothing to do with stealing. Its just if one awoken Spirituser touches an non-awoken, the yet-to-awake Spirituser can see the Spirits too. One time use.
But its a proof for one to be a Spirituser
