Things I wanted to see more of:
1. A slower, more developed recovery
2. That fucking wizard being torn to shreds
3. The brother's reaction to the situation
am I dissatisfied? hell no, but those would have made it better.
Sorry for being cynical, but I agree with @xieshu and @miriha. This resolved a bit too easily, with no apparent lasting effects. This shouldn’t end even with a little trauma. A bit of dissociative disorder would be more appropriate than her just kinda waking up.
I think I'm going to have to drop this. Relationships between individuals with uneven power dynamics can be explored, but the portrayal of their relationship up until this point suggests that the difficult implications of such a relationship(pedophilia, consent, grooming, etc) will be glossed over. Reading such a story, I feel, will be more like a celebration of the difficult implications rather than an exploration of the subject matter
oof... I agree. i'm really sad, i like this story a lot but.. that's really not acceptable and i cant keep reading if it comes to that. i honestly had though that if there was going to be a romance, it would be far off and with one of the brother's friends but. emiel is wayyy too old and too close to her. why would the author take it in that direction after emphasizing so much on abuse and healing...
I understand where you're coming from, though apparently he's supposed to be a teen?? In the novel he was anyway. I'm just curious as to how they're gonna play it out, but I don't blame you for dropping it.
All these people saying it's rushed probably didn't notice that there was time passing (it was a mention but still there.)
Thank you !
[divulgacher]I find her recovery too fast. And I do not understand that it is Emiel who saves her. I hope they will not finish together. He is too old for her! And they are too close![/divulgacher]
She's back! May the heavens cry tears of joy and the devil dance in the fire for he will be busy dealing hellish torment to the wizards that touched her.
@solosera oh wow thats actually disgusting. i was in the middle of celebrating estelle coming back that the emiel part completely went over my head. i think im gonna have to drop this if i see even a hint of it going in that direction. like shes a child and hes a whole grown man the age of her father (or at least near it) and i dont ride that wave
I don't like how they rushed through an obvious traumatic event as if you can just push through one moment and be fine the next day. That is not how it works!
@XieShu given how he’s shown up till now, he probably lacks the ability to express emotions well, especially that of remorse/sadness. You might find it hard to believe, but there are some people who don’t know how to cry (yes, in this world as well)
Or, well at least, have forgotten how to...
this most likely is the case of former, in my opinion
