I think the reason the prince isn't very happy with Estelle is that she's causing waves in the royal family. His mother is likely obsessed with her and it's probably causing issues with the king, and threatens his position as the next emperor.

@HighStream @babyroxasman Well, whether it's good or bad could depend quite a bit on a lot of other circumstances at the time I suppose. I'd like to see even a tiny indication of it even being a possibility before speculating any further on such a thing, though.

@sweet-potato Estelle turned 12 I think during the story and Emiel is 18 , so about a 6 year gap. Technically he's an adult but in the longer term not a big deal, especially in historical settings where typically age gaps are more accepted. Moreover, in Korean culture its said a 4 year gap is ideal so this just a bit beyond that. Overall doesn't bother me much myself as the author hasn't truly tried to make it romantic yet but rather is trying to show their connection and closeness. Of course that will support a romantic development in the future, but so long as that's not being pushed now I don't mind. I think we'll probably be due for another time skip to when Estelle is more like 16-18 before the author tries to introduce romance or at least that's my hope.

I don't think the prince is evil but worried about the only friend her sister could have. The queen must have planned something, like another kidnapping or forcing her to be adopted to the royal family. That's why the duke was oppose to them going to the graduation.

@sweet-potato It's not like the story is making the _{two hump each other} hold hands to make age that relevant. Not enough blushing faces for that. This is just over dramatizing how the she trusts him and how he is thankful for her for curing his edginess. Now that I think of it, the whole thing just looks like a big death flag.

is something finally going to happen, this story likes to drop an antagonist and have 10 chapters of fluff and it really makes this a slow story. Like I have been waiting for the royal family to do something since that hunting arc, so I'll take the prince even though I was waiting for the Queen to move back in
