This manga is painfully wholesome, and I'm really enjoying the handholding-tier relationship the MC has going on with the succubus.
However, that being said, I've got to get something off my chest. I think the story would have been better if Mike was a guy, and not a reverse trap. Because realistically, a cat that was intelligent would be mad about somebody "invading" their family no matter what their sex was, and I feel like there was a missed opportunity here. The "animal is actually a girl" thing is really played out. It would have been hilarious if Mike's true form was some six and a half foot tall bara cat-man, who dresses up like some kind of period anime character with a spirit fire katana and a bunch of other dumb bullshit he doesn't need because this isn't a battle manga.
Barring that, just stay as a cat. Isn't it supposed to take a really, really long time, in the folklore, for a cat to turn into a nekomata? Maybe Mike doesn't even have a human form yet. Talking animals don't need to be able to turn into people, they're still relevant as characters even if they don't have opposable thumbs.
Either way, I don't have a problem with this manga. But it could have been just that little bit better.
