I can’t change my Avatar and Banner

For past 3 days I couldn’t change my Avatar and Banner on the main site I been following every rule while trying to update my profile been trying to save my changes on other devices but after all nothing works hopefully this post will be seen by mods!

The issue [MainSait] Profile editing won’t let me save any of my changes

When I try to change my Avatar or Banner the site won’t save the changes I did in it

• Open Google on IPhone-13 pro
• Go to https://mangadex.org/user/me
• Notice the page not saving any changes with Avatar and Banner

• Google or any other site
• IOS
• IPhone-13 pro
• Network wifi some issues on mobile data

The issue started happening after site was dawn for some time few days ago before that I didn’t notice any problems with Changing Avatar or Banner ( in my opinion )

One thing that did come up at some point (and I don't recall if it was addressed yet, though it may have been) - the link field doesn't like being blank once the profile gets populated. Try putting something in there (a link back to your own MD profile works, or anything else so long as it 'looks' like a valid link).

The other problem that seemed to come up for some people was more technical, and I don't understand the details on that one, but it had to do with 'version' numbers of the profile updates not matching. That would be something to chase if the link doesn't work, though someone who understands that issue would have to indicate how to do that.

1. Broken backend/profile validation — most likely
2. Account sync/version mismatch bug — also very likely
3. a bug with my specific account,
4. profile permissions getting stuck,
5. upload processing failing on their backend,
6. or a temporary site issue affecting profile customization

Just curious, but have you tried on a laptop/PC? Does the issue continue to occur?

Yeah I have tried that on pc and laptop but issue still there

I have asked chat gpt about this and it said this—>

That’s not something you can fix from your iPhone. The MangaDex staff/devs will probably need to:

• refresh/reset your account state,
• clear stuck sessions,
• or manually sync the database entry
