Its good to have warm soft hands, specially during winter. Since my hands are very soft and I always keep them warm since I'm weak to cold, whenever someone shakes my hand or something I always seem to end up making them smile and raise their impression of me just simply by the comfort they felt while touching my hand.
They don't wanna stop holding my hands. lol
They try to warm heir knuckles and stuff while holding my hands and making jokes. It helps in suddenly getting close to somebody you met really quickly. And a girl also wanted me to touch her face, so it could help in getting girls too. But it doesn't help if that's your only good point. lol

@Kaarme Japan has four distinct seasons and it gets insanely hot in summer and really cold in winter. They're not far south enough to be tropical.

@manabi I don't recall if it has been ever said where in Japan they live. For example Tokyo is so much in the South that the average temperature of the coldest month (January) is 5C. I would personally already wear gloves in 5C, but not all do. Of course the temp would drop lower than that on some days, some other days it would be higher. However, by the definitions of my frozen home country, Tokyo doesn't have winter at all, it would only have summer, autumn, and spring, with no winter in the middle. The very North of Japan is different, though.
