Lin took the card and never planned on using it, but had to for an emergency, IIRC. He then had to do something he very much didn't want to do to pay it all back because he didn't want to be indebted to her. I don't recall the dad knowing about her bribing Lin, but given that he knows her, he probably put two and two together. That woman from the train is the new school nurse.

The only "racism" comments complaints about this manga is about how nationalist it is for China, but in manga you got a lot of japanese nationalism and I don't see people complaining about it.

Gets reasonably more interesting with plot twists and layers over time, but slower in the beginning. Now that Billi Billi comics global is shutting down for good, I hope a good samaritan uploads the remaining chapters here. Same with their comics in general.

Billi Billi pulled a dick move and made it impossible to buy new credits, but everything still costs credits to read, all the way until the shutdown at the end of February. Lazy and technically incompetent from beginning to end. It's no wonder they shut down, even with paying customers.

And I PAID Billi Billi for my favorite comics, until they came out with that extortionate "early access" plan that lead to their service's inevitable demise.
