@misto713 chances are in that society women can't inherit so it'd just go to an uncle or something. Which may end up worse plus if she murdered him she'd likely be executed for the murder of a nobleman.

@garnzlok only if she got caught... also, not mant are worse than someone who would murder his own mother and sell his daughter for money. also... the next bastard might either be more cautious after the previous 'master of the house' quietly 'passed away' in his sleep. or he'd not be cautious and end up the same.

but i do understand that she has to suffer for 'the plot'. i just wish these heroines would stand up for themselves more often. and she had such a good start too what with getting knocked up so she can't be sold anymore...

I don't have much of an opinion of this now, it'll depend on future chapters but if I were to state what I like and dislike :

+ I like the MC's "don't give a fuck as long as my son is happy" attitude
- The ML's cliché "don't expect love from me" and "she'll come begging, it must be a ploy to get my attention" bullshit
+ The kid is cute and smart
- The kid is a little too smart for his age
- The MC had a major hole in her plan, like what did she expect ? The father that was willign to sell her to become father of the year just because she was pregnant ? If anything, the author went for the best possible outcome since he could've truly sold her to a brothel and got the kid in an orphanage . She made her position weaker by having the kid because instead of needing to protect herself, she added another being that needs protection.
- The ML notices immediately that the kid resembles him but for the sake of the plot, the author made this supposedly smart guy let go of that fact and not further investigate
+ So far, the staff aren't the cliché "The master doesn't love you so we'll treat you like shit even though you stand way above us"
- Telling your child who is 2 years old (I read that he searched for her for 3 years since they slept together so he should be 2) that he can see his father daily but never tell him because of a curse is stupid and cruel. The kid would feel extreme pressure and he can never be happy with the guy and also it's stupid to tell that sort of major secret to a 2 year old when kids are basically unfiltered up to the age of at least 8 or something... I have a major gripe with this

I really do love this kid. He may technically act a little cliche but at the same time, he's definitely not since he's actually a child in this story, and not a miniature adult. I also find that children in these stories seldom have actually personalities and their personalities and decisions are led by plot convenience. In this story, this kid actually seems like his own individual.
