So logically speaking, handing said daughter to the HERO and just follows him everywhere because why not makes perfect sense. Not like he is literally their to kill the both of you. Not to mention the army behind him. Sure HERO is a dense mf but he at least puts 2 and 2 together once its pointed out (shockingly).

This girl is trying to die it seems, or at least cant be bothered to have a little bit of self preservation in mind. I get it that the moment was intense when she first met, but how far can a child go in a forest and how long would it take the demon lord to find you inside a forest which literally makes clear cut paths open up for the royal family when asked by them?
