Highest selling manga One Piece has an explicitly trans woman, Oda even makes it doubly explicitly clear on her Vivre Card by pointing out her bio sex being male but that her gender/heart is female.

So...is Oda, the middle aged Asian man born and raised in Japan, part of this "western ideology" you are so scared of?

What of Togashi? Another middle aged Asian man born and raised in Japan who has been a vocal supporter since at least the early 1990s? Who has had trans characters in all of his works (YYH/Level E/HxH). Is he also a part of the western ideology?

Is the western ideology in the room with you right now? Under your bed?...In your closet perhaps?

Their point is so stupid. Manga like Hanayome wa Motodanshi, Hourou Musuko, and Bokura no Hentai, are explicitly about transgender people in Japan. One of them being an autobiography literally by a Japanese transgender woman, talking about the real world process of changing gender in Japan. One of them is also from 2002, so it's not like it's something that's only just happening in Asia.
