Hope there was a better way to deal with the situation than that.

"Life is really like a bed. If you're just going to sleep, a single is enough."
Probably the best one so far :dogkek:

Also, what kind of pictures are Kiryuu-kun drawing, anyway?

What Nanoka did was pretty much the brazen and intellectual way to handle it. But yes, all of them are kids, including the precocious little Nanoka. Therefore, Kiryuu couldn't comprehend it as a defense from his friend.

I wonder how I would approach it. Truly, it's a delicate problem after all. If it were to happen to my friend, I would sit with them and do things normally as we would. Even when the general public is accusing (and perhaps bullying) him, the first thing that I want him to know is that I'm with him. I care less about whatever is happening in his life than what I already know about him. A good friend who loved to draw.

From there on, I would ask him a few gentle question to help him voice his thoughts, such as: What are you thinking right now? If he is willing to open up, then that's great. I could ask further questions for him to open up a little more. I do all of that not to judge, I'd do that to make him understand that I'm here and ready to listen whenever he choose to talk. As much as a loner myself, it's always nice to have someone who can truly listen to what I'm thinking and feeling. And especially those who are willing to keep what I said sealed in their heart without telling anyone else.

If, however, my friend doesn't respond to my plea, or perhaps he sees me as a bother, which is pretty much most of the case, then that adds another layer to it. I would back out and say that it's okay for him to open up at any time. From there on, the most important thing is to not give up to always reach out to him and do the normal things with him.

It's a game of tug-of-war. You have to know when to push and pull out. But the most important thing is to, again, not stop.

Loners aren't people who wish to be left alone, as much as they claim themselves to be. We loners wish for genuine and honest relationship too. I have one heck of a persistent friend myself. Many times I pushed him away, and many times more he reached out to me. I'm still contacting with him today, and never in my life do I regret accepting his persistent invitation to go to a little tour to a place next town to see a stupidly huge tree. 😂

Be nice to your friends. It's a short life after all.
