This story can be confusing at times, like there’s missing pages or something

Ehhh...
Pacing is a word that the author does not understand. There's no arc, plot is all over the place. I pity the TL group, as they need to squeeze out the droplets of meaning from each dialogue line and make it make sense. This is by far the worst chinese manhwa I've seen in terms of story - and I read a lot of trashy wuxia.

Dropping it - it's not worth the agony.

Trust me when I say the novel is WAY BETTER.
The manwha just doesn't make sense...
I'm dropping it too, she isn't like in the novel.
Here she looks so easy to push around and isn't as smart as in the novel.
