Regardless, as of this chapter Jade is dying and the magic tool he gave her is shining (which is when the other person i.e. him is in danger)

In panic, she rushed to the dungeon he's in so fast she didn't even put on her executioner disguise, so the guard were like "uh, wat, receptionist?"

She pulled the hammer out (which they obviously recognize as THE executioner's) and declare they either make way or she's gonna make one.

So looks like Jade's persistence paid off, she cared about him enough that the idea of him dying got her that unsettled.

Anyways, I'm a bit surprised that this manga hasn't gone into the insanity people see while working customer service roles. Trying to register with forged documents, handing in a quest while telepathically on the phone with someone else, littering, someone riding their horse into the building, wearing tin foil hats because they believe analysis magic is a mind control conspiracy by Big Guild, there's a lot of shenanigans that can happen in an Isekai guild.

She really is the definition of brute force, isn’t she? There is something appealing about it, perhaps because it is what people normally need to repress when they’re frustrated?

Tbf, she should have been more cautious and discreet in her actions if she wanted to keep her peace or grit and bear it when works get overbearing like what a normal person would do. But then we won’t have this story if that is the case.

Adventuring has no stable income and you can die from a single screwup, if you can qualify for a desk job like hers you steer way clear of that nonsense.

You are forgetting that her current escapades has no stable income, and can die from a single screwup. The only difference would be to un-strikethrough that one word, by going through some bureaucracy (to register properly) and maybe faking an identity.

Normally one would indeed steer clear of the nonsense, but mc is abnormal so she doesn't. All she does is unpaid work even when ppl are desperately looking for her identity so they can reward her (and hope to make the reward an incentive having her do things more often - something she can simply opt not to do)

....so. Why did she accept the conditions in the first place? If her house is already destroyed, she's in debt due to the house payments, and she gets no monetary compensation for this whole duel, what's stopping her from just leaving the country entirely? The guildmaster claimed that he didn't want to threaten her, but if the only reward for winning is that they stop bothering her, that happens to be known as threatening her.
