I thought he only had parry? But this chapter they showed a ton of other super useful skills. Particularly that [throwing] one, like she said, he doesn't need any bows if he can throw that hard and accurately. Meaning he can just take an archer's role in a party. A bit of stealth also goes a long way for an archer. Then a bit of fire and healing just makes him more desirable for any party as he can cook food/dry easily (even when it is wet), and heal smaller injuries.

Meaning, he's an elite archer (physical ranged) archetype with some light subclassing into scout (stealth, but not trap detection. though he can trigger all traps instead and simply deactivate them that way), and then some additional out-of-combat Utility.

Was the entire premise a lie?

He always had access to the most basic skills from each class, he always increased his body resistance when he was getting launched by that wind attack, ninja step to dodge, light heal to fight off the poison even as a kid, and also the flame he showed the girl trying to convince her that was all he could do but secretly his small flame was huge

all these masters and nobody was able to figure out how he left? i guess in 20 more chapters we get another recap where another new master appears, maybe a hermit of sorts, that decided to pull him away from humans to teach him but also gave up at some point?
Most likely but I bet that new master took him to teach him how to fight only with those basic skills

So it's not Noru's fault he's got this twisted sense of power scaling. He was just taught wrong and not told explicitly these things he's doing that's not normal lol
All his teachers said "it's not normal to have only basic skills when becoming an adventurer" and not "it's not normal to have all of the basic skills to become an adventurer"
