@SilentStorm I wouldn't say Yulan did nothing. I dunno if you noticed but Claudia comments that Yulan's more bold and forward when talking to him when Claudia says Yulan usually stays kilometers away, plus he does things that Vio remembers he doesn't do and he's extremely protective of her.

I think the time turning back is somehow Yulan's doing and the entire time Vio was in prison he was trying to find a way to set things back.

Just a theory though.

It's a good theory actually.
It would explain why he wasn't here to visit her even if he love her a lot, and why he is really over-protective now.
And this time-travel has to be explained later, so it's not a bad guess.

@thegiantpossum no, he said "you know their tastes" because he was going out to get food and drinks for them and Yulan would know what they like. But I think it is certainly to get Viollette alone with the prince.

I don't think Yulan abandoned Viollette when she was in prison. He basically already said her well being is all he cares about....so he likely had his reasons for not visiting her.

As for Maryjun...there's nothing wrong with being nice. Maybe she doesn't understand that Viollette is trying to avoid her, or maybe she does, and is still trying to get close to her anyway.

Viollette's reason for avoiding her is misguided as far as I am concerned. Mayrjun hasn't done anything wrong, it is their piece of shit father that is in the wrong.

@HOOfan_1 honestly, Maryjun seems super stoked to have a Big Sister^tm and it's definitely the dad that's hamstringing that relationship. (That said that backstory... Oof) if it weren't for the old man and mother taking out their drama on Vio, I'm pretty sure Maryjun could pull it off without breaking a sweat.

Honestly, the ship I cheer hardest for is VioJun, platonically though.

the core root of violette’s downfall is her shitty father, he didn’t like her mother (it was a political marriage) and he transfer his hate to violette too, she was never loved by her father. Her mother got mentally ill and obsessed and died because of that obsession. He than put the cause of her mother dead (maryjun mother) to live together. Maryjun got everything she was denied from her father. Because she had never being loved, violette too became obsessed to get the prince love, but it made him hate her and in the and he went for maryjun... she snapped and decided to kill maryjun... somehow the universe gave her a new chance. For me there is 3 main issues that need to be “addressed”: 1) The shitty father must be punished for his way of treating viollete 2) Maryjun needs to be aware that her presence and attitude is harmful to violette and should somehow deal with it with violette and 3) violette and yulan NEEDS to be together

I am guessing Maryjun doesn't know the full story, doesn't really know how her father treated her sister, or how Violette's mother treated her and even forced her to dress as a boy to pretend to be her own father and stuff like that.

Maryjun just seems to think her sister is a good person even if a bit wary of her, she is only now realizing her father is too harsh on her sister, but she is lacking a lot of context and it's making her act in ways that annoy Violette.

Had to re-read after getting a close-up of the men's boots. High or Mid-High heels, but at that angle in the panel of the Prince's approach, it looked extra-high (probably from the dialogue box cut-off).

@HOOfan_1 idk, I think she has pretty good reason to stay away from maryjun, if anything happens with maryjun, her father will place the blame on Vio, even more so if Vio was with maryjun at the time. If I were her I'd stay away too, rather than get blamed for something out of my control or something I didnt do, I mean hed blame her regardless, but itd make life easier for her if she just stayed away from maryjun

Aside from Maryjun who has done nothing wrong and likely doesn't have the context for Violette's past, she even tried to spare her wannabe murderer.

Prince Claudia is mostly curious and only got interested in Violette once she stopped being a stalker, and before that, he only really hurt her when she tried to kill someone.

Even Violette has seemingly changed a lot and nowadays doesn't pretend she was a good person or that Maryjun deserved unlike the first chapter where she thought she did nothing wrong, there are some characters that are unlikeable, but can't see why people would hate everyone.
