If the character was a yandere they’d already have personal belongings saved without his knowledge. Instead the author has a bad habit of making the heroine become a bashful maiden in love be their entire personality, just like with the tsundere series. It’s fine for characters to change over the course of the story, but a lot of the changes in behavior feels way too rushed.
