Hmm?? I don't quite understand if this is really the end of the series jshsjsh the other comments and the [END] tag suggest this is the end but the last page said "the second volume of the tankobon is set to be released next spring" ???

Edit: I've only now realized that chapters 6-10 were labeled "Vol. 2" .........................i feel both dumb and sad.

But from what I've understood, reading others' comments, the "second volume to be released" that is being mentioned in the last page refers to the printed physical copies of the series. The online raws were already released, completed, and has been scanlated/translated here. So the [END] tag is right and this has been finished orz

Volume 1 was released on September 25, 2020. The 2nd volume hasn't got a chance to be published yet. Anyway it did get axed and there won't be a 3rd volume feels bad.


Also, does anyone know what chapter this is in the light novel?

@Darkmeep it got axed. as this was an online publication, vol 1; the compilation of 1-5 chapters + extra was released on 23th sept, 2020. And as the last page states Vol 2, the compilation of 6-10 chapters + maybe an extra will be released in spring 2021.
There will be no new chapters. It's still marked as ongoing because Vol 2 hasnt been released yet

Spoilers for people who think the box-shaped gift Hero gave Belle is a ring or whatever, it's not.

It's just a regular pastry from a famous shop. Well, supposedly. Later in the plot it was known that the pastry was poisoned by Hero's yandere admirer (a princess from another country who received blessings from the Goddess of Love, hence very beautiful) that wants to kill Belle for stalking Hero using assassins. Fortunately, Belle's evading skills made her subconsciously only eat the pastry that wasn't poisoned. The rest of the uneaten pastry? Kept to be savored for later, only to be thrown by Ish (the childhood friend merchant) to a horde of monsters chasing his caravan. It was strong enough to kill a raging bull monster iirc.
