So... let me get this straight. The Grand Duke murdered his sister, is trying to murder his nephew (the prince) and then likely wants to either murder or be executed by his brother (the King), and get Violet put on the throne... for revenge against his dead douchebag father?

Bro literally killed an innocent person, is trying to kill an innocent person, and wants a third innocent person to lose their son and siblings, because his dad didn't love him because he had magic.

What an absolute fucking moron. The biggest "revenge" would be to solve the food crisis through magic (which he did) and show the kingdom how great magic really is, and work with his siblings to prevent discrimination like their father's from ever happening again.

But this walking shitstain calling itself a human chose to kill the innocent members of his family instead. Fuck him and I hope he's forced to realize what he's done and live a long life bearing that guilt.

I... don't think they had therapy back then,

but why waste money with therapy when hobbies do just as much or a better job?
Hell with that; my fantasy magic world has therapy from now on.

Besides, isn't that why they have a tavern in the adventurers guild? You drink and chat with people who have the same problems, right?

Honestly, that's what bars used to be, before they made them non-smoking and half of them closed... free-associated group therapy.

I mean, if he was just going to kill them without revealing his revenge then he may as well have used magic or a sword and had a proper regicide coup. As it is, they would die without ever knowing why since he is trying to keep his distance from their deaths, losing a major aspect of revenge. And really, the primary target for revenge was his father who is already dead, his brother may not even know what happened that caused his desire for revenge.
Agreed, the fact he harmed and murdered his siblings, and niece and nephew in order to get revenge on a long dead man is cowardly imo.

I know revenge isn't reasonable or logical but it doesn't prove the previous king wrong, it doesn't make anything better and it certainly doesn't counteract discrimination he faced by choosing to discriminate but different (TM) this time.
