To be honest I don't think this need a continuation. It would be nice to get one but the way it ended is pretty much how this story should end.

honestly what the hell was that ending? its so anticlimatic, are we just gonna ignore the fact that sera is a fucking psycho?

EDIT: yeah i get it, "we dont need a happy ending", well but how about having an actual ending, this sorta just ends abruptly and makes no sense, way to ruin an otherwise great manga.

It's funny how meta the story was. Everytime the author felt like he was doin' something cliché, he would just subvert it. This ending is anti-climatic, but at the same time a decent ending for what the series has been up until this point. I don't feel like I wasted my time.

I still don't get the Witch's time travel chronology, but so be it.

Also. Came here because of the QnA author did on Twitter. It got translated by the same group that does Kaguya I think. It's great, if you don't come from there you might want to check it out.

@Raknasuu

She lived "normally" until age 9, traveled back in time and stayed there, lived 4 years, took in her 8 year old self, lived a bit longer, then died. She lied about only using her time travel power once.

Aka's message at the end gets me every time. It's also clear to see how much he's improved as a writer since this series - to say he's "made a name for himself" would be an understatement.

I too look forward to an Instant Bullet that captures the message that he wished to give. Someday :)

This manga was a pretentious, edgy mess where the ending doesn't make sense, the histories are confusing and the characters weren't fully fleshed out. Every chapter felt like a nihilistic emo and an unhinged optimist were having it out and somehow morphed into each other and somehow wrote this manga to continue to thrash it out. Although it doesn't say much, I have never seen such a chaotic blend of grim dark and optimism in my reading life.

I love it. It was weirdly cathartic, some of the plot twists were genuinely surprising, and I believe the story's message could have been more clear and coherent if written better. The characters were interesting, and the premise is simply so interesting: the world is going to end; how are you going to react to it.

I'm genuinely interested in how the author would write or rewrite this if he committed to it. This has lots of potential, and low that he has gained more experience, it would be interesting how he can rewrite this. It's a shame that he said he has no interest in returning to it.
