I hope this is the case rather than they stop it and be in a draw, since even with preparations, sometimes there'll be problems on stage and the idols still expected to give perfect performance.

Problem is, all their sound equipment is not meant to be used under the rain. If the author wanted a excuse to stop the match, this would be the one that makes the most sense.

I'm honestly not sure that's a great idea tbh. That is to say, I don't know how they'd do it, unless they sped up the pacing to a ridiculous degree. Generally for series like this, one 12-episode anime season covers about 20-30 manga chapters. This is Chapter 45, and we seem to have a loooong ways to go in this story. At this rate, we'd get like one elimination per-season, which just doesn't sound very practical.

Probably they'd do, like, two cours for the first season and, even then, it'd need more than one season to, like, do the whole thing. Which it deserves.
