Even the company's shortened name (Starship) had a actual Korean counterpart name that fed idols into the Produce series.

That said, this is more like the JYP shows (Sixteen, The Nizi Project) than the Produce shows. (Although later we find out the Produce shows were rigged to have an outcome Mnet wanted.)
