One thing people have to consider is this is an adaptation, and that is responsible for the weirdness here imo. The whole situation surrounding Atie's first time with him is because the author wrote one thing (explicitly non-con) and the manga adaptation wanted to not do that, but also try to keep the original plot intact, hence the weirdness of their relationship during and after that. I imagine it is a similar case here, though I haven't read the ln.
I'm confused. If you haven't read the light novel how do you know it is different?

The first reason I'd think of to tie her up was to give her a plausible way to explain the MC getting away without making it seem like she didn't lift a finger to help her master. This way she can say she tried to fight him after her master got knocked out, got beat, and was tied up so that she could save face (since it seems likely that the scumbag master would beat her for disobedience or whatever).

Of course that would rely on a MC that doesn't seem to be an unblinking sociopath who doesn't give a crap about anyone else.

I'm not even sure why I'm still reading this series. The brief glimpses of the MC being decent are offset by him dealing with every problem with the disaffected nature of an unflinching serial killer. Sure maybe it's better than the overdosed trope of "burning hero of ultimate burning justice whose heart burns for justice against the unjust that try to burn down the world" shonen action heroes, but this is just... lame.
True enough. It's just light reading to kill time. Can't expect everything to be an epic.

Does it seems like MC just don't give a fuck about anything? I mean it's weird that he's so lax about the whole thing that makes one wonder if he's alright in the head.

And why didn't he help the elf girl?
He’s kinda a horrible person.

Remember when his solution to that kid dying in his arms was to bury him in secret and tell his grief-crazed mother that he never saw the kid at all, so she’ll spend the rest of her life searching in vain for her missing son?

Although I’m happy he just dumped that elven thot with the arsonist. It’s a departure from taking her in as a slave haha.

It has no specific meaning. It's just a shout that accompanies a strike. Sometimes used by Japanese martial artists.
Probably from kendo. New students are taught early on to call their attacks so the instructor knows where they were trying to hit. So you get calls like "Men!("Head"), "Kote!"("Hand") and "Chesto!"("Chest"). Eventually you stop making the calls for anything other than fun or BM after a strike.

MC being a sociopath kinda makes sense on how this entire series began if you think about it... He's lost everything and is just living emptily. Even with Atie by his side he still doesn't have any actual goal for his life other than to amble about.
Like he even mentioned in this chapter that there isn't even any point having vengeful inclinations towards the person that quite literally burned his life down.

I swear, if any of them two reappear for revenge, I'll drop this series.
Other than that, Thanks for the chapter.

Just going off what other people said at the time. After I thought about it a lot of the issues with totally inconsistent/weird tone in this manga started to make a lot more sense. It would seem the LN has the MC be more ruthless overall but at least be consistent and comprehensible, here he just goes from normal to psycho in one line.

If the scumbag order her to release him she would have to oblige. Hence to prevent him escaping MC tied both.
I have a feeling that it's only going to get worse, and the biggest flag for this was that kid's mother in the other town. The main character thinking that she'll just get over her only child disappearing right when her husband passed away? This was either intentional on the writer's part, or they're so socially stunted that they don't even get it.
There is no right answer here, you could argue here that having hope for his son to be alive would give her strength to keep living or telling her his son died would make her seek a new life, but things can go wrong so much, and MC seems to have a tendency to avoid conflict.

Probadly because the MC is narcissist jerk, he let the slave elf doomed to the same fate to the stupid buyer it feels too edgy and cringe everything the MC does, makes me remember how he and the gambler solve the problem of halfass rescuing the kidnapped child he probadly had the time to treat the wounds and also just do some badass nasty trick to hide the body lie the SICK and worried mother and ruin the entire family just to show how badass the author is and how talented is to solve chunnibyo problems
