Honestly I like it more when a villainess is OP for hilarious reasons, but I've noticed that the recent trend is "She's not even a villainess, she's just an anti-protagonist"

It hasn't gotten boring yet though so...
very true sometimes they are just normal and everyone still treats as evil because of non-evidential based accusations!

If you break off the engagement because she's jealous, you're shooting yourself in the foot if you then proceed to get together with the very person she was jealous of. It justifies her jealousy, and outs you as a cheating bastard.

A "nameless" spirit. So it's one so powerful people can't identify it, if the story goes as usual.

"Red Fairy" sounds like a pleasant nickname, though.

If you answer a question with a little more than a simple sentence, you're not talking too much. You're just better at conversation than your average dating app girl.

Now, if Joseph changed that much, I'm inclined to blame the girl. Often is the case, but not always. He could just be a cheating bastard.

Yeah, she's a self-centred, manipulative, entitled bitch.

Kind of unusual for the MC to "just" be the daughter of a count, since it's a middle noble rank. It's almost always a duke, though once or twice I think I've seen a margrave.

And the fateful meeting. At least it's not some cliché saving the damsel meeting.

Or just straight up a normal protagonist. Most of the time they're just misunderstood (usually framed), and in a few they try to be Evil, but fail at it because they're too nice. But they're never really actually villainous.

Thank you for the release!

There's a translation error on page 7: it's been years since her hand was injured (the novel confirms this).

Regarding page 10: English has a term for a female attendant — no, it's not "personal maid" — lady's maid (although, Sienna seems to double as a chambermaid).

Please don't remove accents from words: it's "fiancé" — "fiancée" for women (what should have been used on pages 19 and 34) — without the accent, it looks like "finance" instead.

Just a tidbit: in the novel
her grades are low because Joseph told her that he liked stupid women, and Bridgette was desperate enough for affection to follow through. Her usual arrogant behaviour in public during the engagement and her fashion/makeup were also tailored to his requests. That's also why she's regarded as a "villainess."

Unlike most of the stories with a protagonist who happens to be a "villain" or "villainess," this story is not set in an internal fictional world or some other pre-determined scenario — usually an Otome game or a novel. (I usually call such stories "scenario deviation" instead of "villainess" for a reason, two actually. 1, the scenarios aren't always from the perspective of a villain/villainess. 2, not all stories from the perspective of a villain/villainess involve some form of pre-determined scenario. This story falls into the second grouping.) I think it changes the dynamic a bit that there's no story assigning her to be a villainess. That's just my two cents, though.

I didn't claim otherwise.
Not what I meant. I guess I phrased it poorly. (Not sure how to fix it, though.)

(So, here I am trying anyway.) I meant that the role of "villain" or "hero" isn't assigned (?) — something along those lines.

That still follows the same statement, though. If there's no story, there's no assigned hero or villain.

This didn't really give an impression Brigitte was that much in love with the prince. He did impress (charm?) her early on, but there wasn't much emotion involved when he terminated their engagement. Now she's just back to the studies she didn't have enough time to spend on earlier. Sienna getting married and leaving her job would probably affect Brigitte far more, by the looks of it.

Generally it's for the otome games that someone is the "villainess" role, but since they're not a POS they're terrible at being the villainess. except that one series I can't remember what it's called, she does a damn good job
