No, my argument was that it's oppression to limit free speech in almost any way, for example by pressuring an ultimately harmless group of people through rhetoric that is extremely shallow and yet has a wide appeal to people seeking to gain perceived social currency through a cursory demonstration of moral virtue. Doubly so in a world that is already oversaturated with meaningless social conflict and where acceptance and open-mindedness are in short supply on any given side of any given issue. At first glance, it may seem like a low-impact foul to shit on a group of strangers because they use vernacular you personally find distasteful, but it serves as the first steps to a cultural journey that has an awful and ugly logical conclusion, especially when said foul is done with an utterly dismissive attitude that demonstrates an oft-understated level of danger in its lack of thoughtfulness, as is often the case with many unwitting extremists who will say things such as "hate speech isn't free speech" or "we need to replace the name Nigger Jim with something less offensive" without actually thinking on the ultimate implications of where that kind of self-contradicting logic leads society.
