The juxtaposition is funny considering how the person in the male gender role is acting traditionally while its impetus is what’s seen as traditional in a female gender role.

All the while the person in the male gender role is actually a female.

TLDR; They’re acting like traditional gender stereotypes based on their biological gender despite the rest of the manga suggesting the opposite.

tbf other than the crossdressing part aren't the both of them still in "line" with their biological genders?

Yeah, but the first chapter of this manga introduces the biological male in the traditional female gender role and vice versa

It's funny how there's this recurring trope in romcom manga where one party reads some rando article online about how you should act in order to achieve your romantic goals and it always ends in disaster. I guess there's this subconscious idea that all romcom authors share that these kinds of articles are useless.

It happens in real life too, there's an abundance of bullshit fairy tales absolutely detached from reality, that may influence low in self-esteem people or lacking in experience in false view of how relationship works.
