Kohaku's body is intact...thankfully. :aquadrink:

Wow, that huge bait and switch where they showed that her body is actually fine instead of a rotted corpse like it was hinted at in previous chapters...

Also I still have a huge question after all this time: How is this story related to Helck? I wonder when the story will touch on that.
They are in another continent and Kohaku is one of the 4 heavenly kings from Helck.

If Kohaku's body is still in pristine condition, the bad odor must be from Cleo not taking bath for two months, right?

The thing I'm wondering is the timeline. When is this story happening in relation to Helck's story? Because in this story the world seems really shitty while in Helck things seemed really good when the story ended.
I have always suspected this is the prequel to Helck's story. My theory is
whatever happened in Cleo's generation would cause poison to spread throughout the land. Humans "evolved" into demons to adapt to the new environment, while the human kingdom was the remaining piece of clean land where people didn't change. Kohaku tried so hard to protect Cleo because one day he would become the Demon Emperor who led them in the war against Will of the World.

This is not the same place where the events of Helck hapened. This has been said before.

on the last page, do we know who said "yeah..." and "i get it... i get it..."
im guessing Saphia - Cleo in that order, but im always confused when there's no way to tell speech bubbles apart

The original word choice is:
うん
そっかぁ...そっかぁ

The phrasing of the first line is definitely Saphia. The second is a little "rough" which is more Cleo's style, but just IMO, it's kind of a weird thing for Cleo to be saying there, so I think they're supposed to both be Saphia, and just the combination of emotion and relief has mellowed out her speech just a little.

Such a misdirection with "it smells like someone died here" and a bunch of shots where Kohaku face was all black. Probably was Cleo and not Kohaku.

I was fully expecting that Kohaku's corpse was already decomposing or mangled (after the animal attacks) and that we were just viewing Kohaku from Cleo's delusional perspective where she was still intact, but happy to be proven wrong.
actually, i think her face "regenerated" in the meantime, and cleo doesn't says anything because of his... state, where he thinks know he's being a full depressive pile of shit...

helck's situatuation is in demon world. meanwhile this volundio is not in demon world. helck was fighting against human kingdom near the border. i am pretty sure volundio is far inside in human kingdom

i am waiting for vermillio and azudra to appear in the story. the story in this title is the contrast to helck when protagonist (cleo) being helped by the only demon in human region to save only himself from human region's crisis while in helck, the protagonist as the only human in demon world helping all demons from demon world's crisis

helck is still the strongest. it's funny how he is that strong lol
Helck was only around their power level slash somewhat higher. He’s not the strongest by any means, and the emperor is probably stronger from what we know. Heck, the people over the heavenly kings might be stronger

I'm glad all those scenes implying that Kohaku is rotting turned out to be fakeouts. Last few chapters were painful to read :(

The are finally getting back some colors in the end too!

Volundio is actually far in the complete opposite direction of the Human kingdom. The "human"-looking characters in this series are explicitly never referred to as such (minus a couple translation choices in the official release I have beef with...it doesn't happen in Japanese, at least...), and are instead called "Stoltessian". The current setting is distantly west of the Empire from Helck, whereas the Human kingdom was actually rather near the Empire's southeastern border.

what emperor do you mean? before the series began, helck beat the demon king who presided the four heavenly kings by himself. at the end of the series, he beat god's chosen human, a super planner reincarnator, a boosted azudora the strongest heavenly kings and even the will of the world itself. the hardest battle he had, is fighting himself.

You've got the ranking backwards. There are 15 "Demon Kings", who are subordinate to the Four Heavenly Kings. As far as authority goes, the 4HK are third in the Demon Empire, underneath one or two (it's unclear) individuals that both the unofficial and official translations call "Guardian Kings" (though IMO, a closer translation would be Magistrate Kings), and above that is the Dragon Emperor themself. We don't know much about the power of the higher rankers (and the Guardian Kings might be more administrative, rather than powerful), though it's explained that the Emperor,

Is basically permanently preoccupied holding back the Will of the World from flooding over the planet at the main source of its entry.
