That was from Claire and she's done that a few other times and increasingly so.That felt more like from Lily than Claire...
Could be. In fact I said "felt", bc unless one reads the novel where it's written ""lorem ipsum" Claire said", that could come from anyone. That was from Claire and she's done that a few other times and increasingly so.
Lily makes me scratch my head so much as to why she’s there to begin with especially when everyone else is written better and the only other weirdo of her ilk is Rei’s ara ara mom who is written off as a joke that Rei desperately is trying to avoid. Especially knowing what her character is later it’s a genuine confusion to me why was written the way she is.barring Lily processing she has a brother and the code with Arla, nothing is changed from the book here.
then again, Lily is so badly written as a character she borders on certain uncommon archetypes of the term Mary Sue.
Lily is a complete mess since shes literally just the mouthpiece for the author to primarily discuss their views on the japanese LGBT community and its handling in society, something that was handled well in the Misha: "Rae, are you what they call Gay?" discussion and then is handled poorly in Yu's Secret and then terribly in the Nur Empire trial. The Author clearly decided they liked her and continues using her after that initial scene, welding multiple other character relations onto her, and keeping her around way longer then any plan called for so she keeps inheriting things that break the character's internal logic further. As i said, she borders on earning a Mary Sue status, as an Author Insert Sue. basically the only reason she isnt, is because Rae is the designate author mouthpiece as all 4 sexuality monologues are dictated by herLily makes me scratch my head so much as to why she’s there to begin with especially when everyone else is written better and the only other weirdo of her ilk is Rei’s ara ara mom who is written off as a joke that Rei desperately is trying to avoid. Yeah but this is a love letter that was written years before she started interfering. Kinda hard for her to muck Things up so bad that she changes something that oldAs long as it's something that didn't get retcon'd out of happening by your intervention anyway (the typical villainess saving OG characters from their fate and derail everything)
calling her crazy is certainly an option but if someone read you a passage from your diary verbatim, you’d panic. It means she has some way to get very dangerous and private info on you. Sure killing her is an option but she’s one of the strongest people in the kingdom. And works for the king. It’s not gonna be easyThere are definitely risks to pulling this kind of stunt. You'll sound like a crazy person, which gives whoever you're making accusations of a layer of plausible deniability for both whatever you're accusing them of and of your untimely "accidental" demise that will surely follow when you make accusations of a powerful figure.
That's why Rae has still been going through the trouble of actually finding the evidence in the first place.
okay, spoil me, where is this shit going from here? I started this for the cute and funny yuri antics, don't particularly care for all the drama and PLOT that revolves around the game's plot and I wanna know if this shit will be an annoying slog that will last forever until it's finally resolved
Oooooh thanks for that. After this Salas attempts to assassinate Claire and Rae and checks the safe. Assassination plot is stopped. Confront Salas the next day with the royal court. He denies everything. Rae has the recorder. Ralaire mimicked an ice sculpture and helped Rae get it. Salas summons his assassin. Assassin turns out to be Lilly. She has a split personality created by Salas to use for this purpose. That's why she yells out in explicatives at times. They manage to stay up but the volcano finally erupts. Salas escapes and the king dies in the rubble.
And then in the next chapter
Dole rallies the nobles into a government and prevent Thane from ascending to the throne and tax the bejeeves outta people. Rae and Claire work to feed the public but the revolutionaries take over and the Revolution turns a head calling for the downfall of the nobles. Rae reveals to Claire that this was Dole's plan and they worked togetherto save her and she needs to join the revolutionary side. But Claire's noblesse oblige forces her to go. She believes since Rae is always level headed she'll be fine without her. She kisses her and then goes off to her death.
Stuff happens blah blah blah then Rae stops the execution with an emotional heartfelt appeal that leaves her a sobbing pathetic mess. She proposes and they kiss while all their friends congratulate them and thank them for changing their lives.
AND THEN, if we'reallowed to continue
marriage hijinks and adopting kids
Trust in the program. Claire's radicalization is intrinsically linked to what's happening now.
