This manga is adding too much filler in and missing out key moments that they could be including from both the ILTV LNs and She's So Cheeky For a Commoner. In the LN it was way more obvious that Rae was numb and panicking because her plan was all going to shit and she wouldn't be able to save Claire, so Claire slapped her to snap her out of it. Here it looked random. Thane had no idea about Lily and this brother bullshit didn't exist - which was for the better. Lily made moves on Rae but was nowhere near taking up as much screentime as she has in this manga. The fight between Rae, Claire and Lily was just between the 3 of them, and was much better, and they held Lilly off by attacking Salas, forcing her to defend him rather than attack them. No one really cares about Thane and his fake father's relationship; his messed up parentage is resolved a bit later on through his mother and his confidence in becoming the king. That moronic gryphon sequence and the hypnotised townsfolk bit didn't happen in the LN too. I like the Manga but again, hate a lot of the changes. If you've read the LNs, Claire forcing Rae to make that same oath is just going to come off badly soon enough. They really could have just done some more fleshing out on how claire's feelings to rae were evolving and used some of the pepi and loretta side story from SSCFAC.
