man this whole arc was a hot steamign pile of garbage. malaria's whole character is less than surface level, the way they have claire say "oh she got a rare flower, maybe i will get with her actually" is so shallow, only to basically confess that she loves rei literally like 3 panels later, and wtf was that last minute twist of "actually i love rei actually teehee" that bitch-sama did.
like every character is written so poorly compared to previous arcs in this one, its like the author let their 13 year old nephew write for them for a few chapters. honestly lowered the score for this for me by a few points. what a shame.
