Yeah. It's mentioned previously that Misaki had issues at home at the time as well and this was the issue. If you look at the future panel where Kosaki reveals that she was a green tea you can see Misaki sporting a more masculine appearance.

Honestly I loved this reveal in the novel because it was a great way of showing how Rae's previous life continues to affect her current one. The values that she carries specifically because of what her environment did to her and who she cared about.
