This really does feel canceled cause this is the last second chapter and ends with what feels like a start of a drama, it shouldn't be the case here.

I actually think that author knew that it's get cancelled since when she (I assume) was told she need to wrap things up in 3 chapters. 9-10 feel much more logical than 8th to me.

Oof just one more chapter hm... Anyway, thx for your time and work on the manga ^^. Even thou someone might say this manga is kinda problematic (which it is xD), i still enjoyed it

I'm actually a little surprised some people find it "problematic". If we call this age gap, isn't it like super duper innocent? Hikari isn't even making moves on Makoto. Makoto is on one-sided offense all this time, and the only thing we can blame her for is not cutting him off decisively, and then falling victim to his continuous adorable attacks. Well, we can probably call her "easy" though. :'D
What made me take it is actually Makoto's demi-stalkerish obsession with her. That felt fresh. And also this is the most problematic part of the story for me, tbh.

I'm wary of age gap, so I'm only taking projects where I feel like I can trust the older character. And usually it's female lead. :') This story was innocent enough for me, I guess.
Thanks for reading.

Usually im all in for a good age-gap romance. Unbalance x Unbalance, after the rain etc. But there are all on the verge to adulthood. Here it might be a bit more innocent because its a kid and everything, guess we're lucky that hikari is more on the waiting side ^^. Would agree, overall it was very innocent and adorable. I never had the feeling things would go "south" in that kind of way, at best it might have been minor inconviences like meeting people they know and they would ask all kind of questions or like in that chapter, the whole "ex boyfriend" thing ^^

For there is nothing wrong with the age gap. The problem is that makoto is a manipulative lying douchebag just like his douchebag brother. If makoto was 18 instead of 14 he would be called out for what he was and we the audiance would wish his charecter arc into a betterman or for hikari to realize what type of guy makoto is.

Don't you hate it when you look back at one of your older comments, and there is a glaring gramatical error or your missing an obvious word.?!

Man, this is so cute... but bringing back the older brother as potentially some kind of emotional final boss to overcome for the last chapter isn't. This is an attempt to stir uncomfortable feelings in Hikari and Makoto, and I feel conflicted about that when this is ending next chapter.

I do like that they're not really rushing into things even though they're mutually in love now. The right way to do this (well, aside from not doing it at all) is to wait before formally dating, and that line about "when you're in high school" sounds about right; ideally they wait ~4 years until he's 18 and out of high school, and if their love still holds true by then, congratulations... it's time to go official.

came back to this cause recently there's a manga with a similar premise (not really) about a boy falling in love with his english teacher. Now I even forgot its name :pacman:
