I was hoping for more of a romance ending, but I still enjoyed it, I will be looking forward to the authors next work though

The good ones always die so soon, but this was a short and sweet one.

none of them thought it was bad when "date" was said, he called her
"my dear" and she painted something that was important to both of them that will certainly be hung in the restaurant.

1st chapter was the best of the lot, but I'm happy to see a manga that told the story it wanted to tell and stopped before it dragged on even a little. Most manga don't have that self-restraint when they have both a unique premise (as far as slice of life anyway) and good execution.

I could see this premise going strong for a few volumes if it wasn't rushed in the ending, but a good story nonetheless.

Pretty good miniseries overall. It felt a bit like a oneshot that was expanded and recompressed, due to the limited utility of the side characters, but overall the structure is solid and satisfying. The art itself is decent at selling each scene too. Definitely recommend as a way to break the monotony of all the long-running series out there

Wouldn't mind seeing a full series detailing their college+ years though :glee:

That new painting of her's worthy of a grand prize in my book. But hey, I'm not an art judge or art professional. A little disappointing nobody noticed it was a painting of Satomi, but what Momiji-sensei said made sense: nobody knew what a smiling him looked like.

So we technically end with a platonic friendship, and that's fine I guess - platonic friendships are rare in the stories I read featuring both sexes as main characters. Although I'll continue to believe in the copium that there's a subtle romance going on between them given the few crumbs I picked up here and there...

It's cute, enjoyable and written well enough, if short. I'll miss these two, they were endearingly written and not just one-dimensional caricatures despite only showing up for 6 chapters. Also, that parting title drop. Actually roll credits now.
