Hm? For some reason, Stella gives me evil vibes. Hopefully I'm wrong. I don't want another "protag is actually evil" story (not that there are too many, i just don't want to read another one rn).

Stella seemed to steer the conversation into a brief pity party. “Oh, I am sorry! I am not rich like you, so I will pretend to be ignorant for pity points!”. I really hope this is not the case, because this type of trope is just to make the protagonist look better and that’s it.

Thank you for the translation,

Poor noble aiming for your rich and powerful fiancé, threw away your dress, acts all sneaky and always plays the victim in front of said fiancé when you open your mouth to try to be nice. Don’t you see a pattern there?

Riight I must be seeing thing.

I thought the president would notice the cut on her finger and they'd wind up at the infirmary after ditching Stella, but nope, they're talking about strawberries. Where was this story headed again? Since Louise keeps bringing up the original novel's plot, it'd help if some of the other plot points would be mentioned apart from "Stella gets the prince."

@ThunderKnight I wouldn't say dumber; it's more like she's actively in denial about what's going on, and maybe that's worse than being oblivious.

Sooo are we not going to talk about the dress? And yeah, bad vibes from Stella all around. Having an original protag who isn't evil would be refreshing at this point, but I'm not keeping my hopes up.
@chonkury same! I figured the cut on her finger would do something, but guess not :T

I don’t like where this is heading. I don’t need any white lotus bitches in my villainess manga unless there’s a Su Luxia to properly deal with them.

Ouch. I forgot how ambiguously Ian acted in the novel. Of course Louise would have no confidence after all that.

boohoo my name is stella i’m dumb and don’t know the difference between a rotten and a regular strawberry so i’m gonna act all pathetic and embarrassed so you can pity me because i’m POOR. 🥺

please it doesn’t take much common sense to tell the difference between any rotten and fresh food.

@spuffy_momo unless they changed from the LN (which I really enjoyed)
The heroine is Louise and the ML is the prince
.

Whoops, just reread your comment.
Stella is actually a very nice girl who doesn't want attention

My bitch alert is ringing so hard right now. Like where did Stella find a new dress, it seems like she was waiting for Ian to help her and also the strawberries, I’m not rich and I know if a strawberry is fresh or rotten.
