This is super BS and cringe-inducing, just like the MC is an idiot. First, if such a cure existed, no company in the world would push it under the rug, just the exclusive would be worth billions. Second, if the MC really wanted to achieve something, instead of ranting like a baby should have made an "anonymous" call to the press. Third, if your gf treats you like that, you dump her instead of shifting the blame.

@Legion_01 I kinda agree with the anonymous part but I can totally see the pushing the medicine under the rug thing happening. After all, every scientist who came close to curing cancer or proclaimed a cure suddenly "disappeared" or had "accidents" LMFAO. This is totally plausible because of how fucked the Medicine industry is.

@Legion_01 Yeah, no company would ever adjust treatments in order to milk the most possible amount of profits from it /s

That aside, this looks promising, looking forward to seeing more of this

@Banba the medical industry would likely change the composition to make the treatment last longer or if posible, make it life long, there's no doubt about it. What they would never do is make it disappear, again, because the exclusive alone is worth billions, if not trillions. Also, as someone who has worked in a lab, even the first two chapters are full to the brim with forced drama and plot devices. The petri dish bs would be believable only in a third world lab (maybe not even there)

Exactly what Legion said, if product B is cheaper to produce than product A, companies would just dilute it rather inflate the price than sell a strictly worse product.

Like, that's exactly what they're doing with epipens and stuff like that, you just jack up the price to oblivion. Like, they're selling fucking saline solution for hundreds of dollars, any management with half a brain would just halve the dose, triple the price and call it a day.

This is probably what's happening in real life. Science is advanced for money, power and war. Saving lives is a bonus. That's how it was for the atom bombs and radiation anyways

This is that far from the truth. Medicine industry makes a lot of money and one thing that greedy/top people are trying to hide are the cures and preventions just so they can get more money from us who are ignorant of their existence. The real cure for most diseases are mostly good food and diet but people who are trying to spread these also keeps on disappearing...

This is a joint venture... what are the contingencies, if the pharmaceutical explicitly wrote that the direction of the drug must be compliant in distribution and sales. He would be breaching contract hence they can outright cancel the contract and if they had a breach of contract the one who breached that contract should be subject to the contingency and pay for breach of contract. If they signed as co-owners both should have rights in the distribution, it might be complicated from there but I doubt they would make a flimsy contract. I don’t see how this setting works🙃

Limited co-operation
This is when you agree to collaborate with another business in a limited and specific way. For example, a small business with an exciting new product might want to sell it through a larger company's distribution network. The two partners agree a contract setting out the terms and conditions of how this would work.

Edit:
Bio companies have to go through several clinical trials, so in order to Pool money if they don’t have any funding they dilute their stock, you can find it in the Sec filings if they have been approved. If they have it’s a very risky investment. Having to go through such a debt ridden ride of legally taking investors money I doubt they would make such a mistake.

Stock dilution occurs when a company's action increases the number of outstanding shares and therefore reduces the ownership percentage of existing shareholders

This causes the stock to plummet.

This isn’t financial advise this is for entertainment purposes only.

Yea they'll never release a cure for cancer until something worse comes along to make pharma companies money.
Anyone who thinks otherwise is naive.
It would be delightful to be proven wrong but nobody can do that now can they?
By 2026 cancer drug sales are expected to reach 320.6 billion (Source: Statista)
