There is no mutual respect or grounded equal relationship there.
Other dude who didn´t understand the FEMALE DOMINATION and BDSM themes here.
Finds a better man, has a better relationship slowly grows apart from the other 2 while they go into an endless cycle of self destruction
The usual misandry was not to be missed, as always. The mere fact that Hikari pushed Yuu in chapter 38 proves that NEITHER SHE NOR YAMI DESERVE HIM.
Which kind of annoying if Yuu's character growth happens off screen.
So, are we starting to admit that Yom really does have a grudge against Yuu and has done everything possible to undermine him as a character in the adaptation?
The boy told Yami in chapter 40 he was willing to be her friend again and talk to her. Hikari expressed similar desires. What's so surprising?

Eh, like it takes Hikari reaching out for her to pull herself out of her spiral & she's currently being too cowardly to face Hikari. Yuu's the easy one b/c she expects him to not call her out on any of her behavior b/c he never has.
On the contrary, it's Yuu who has most often reproached Yami and openly called her a liar, ever since that night in the love hotel in chapters 24-25. However, he has always been submissive and faithful to her wishes when he feels she is sincere and honest with him. Yuu is disposed, or he was, to follow Yami to the very depths of hell, which is why Hikari was so amazed by "Yami-sama's true story".
Hikari, in any case, is the one who has LESS OBEYED Yami. Of course, she is not Yami's submissive, Yuu is Ayami the dominatrix's submissive boyfriend. But there's a reason Yami said in chapter 45.5 that Hikari is the one who has reproached her the least and that she's still astonished that Hikari never blamed her for anything.
But yes, I already figured you wouldn't like that, just as I predicted, Yami would always prefer and choose Yuu over Hikari. Even if she, as usual, is too cowardly to fully admit it to herself (like in Yuu's omake 4 when she started pacing around when he began asking her "Yami-senpai, what are we?" like the girl in the relationship that Yuu who is).
?? Hikari is the character who femcels would typically identify with - the self-sacrificing good girl who lost out b/c her crush went for the first girl who threw herself at him
Yuu was not the crush of Hikari when Yami who threw herself at him. In any case, this is "the toxic ex-girlfriend of my crush forcefully kissed him before my eyes, and she was my classmate all this time and she said she was disposed to accept I would date her ex-boyfriend".
I think if Aya and Yuu do get back together, that's just the standard "I can fix 'em/love heals all/broken bird" trope.
Not, this is the "she is the boyfriend of this relationship" trope.
For those interested, I think we'll see Hikari either opting for polygamy or making Yuu choose between her and Yami. There are already several precedents for this in rom-coms.

Yeah, right. A character I don't like = a character incapable of good things, basically a lesser being.
No - a person, real or fictional, who is entirely self-absorbed and has no consideration for other people's needs, desires or feelings is incapable of love, because love requires the exact qualities that they lack.

My opinion of them is irrelevant.

Honestly best ending would be time skip of a woman at the alter, revealed to be Hikari, then the groom walks up, some random Chad, and you see Yami and Yuu on opposite sides of the venue from eqchother. Also one of Hikari's friends catching the bouquet.

Weird to see a bunch of posts talking about Yami's supposed love for Yuu.

I guarantee that Yami is entirely incapable of feeling love. Lust certainly, and need and dependence and a fleeting sense of satisfaction while she has a dick in her, but love? Not a chance. She's too selfish and dishonest for that.
That sounds idiotic bro. She obviously likes him but thinks he’s too innocent for her. She wouldn’t have flashed out on him at the festival if she didn’t love him.

You clearly expressed an opinion about the character and then said it's irrelevant.
It is indeed irrelevant in the sense that it ignores two volumes of narration. But I was talking more about how a negative attitude leads to basically dehumanizing people, fictional or real. I've seen it a lot IRL recently, so it's really upsetting to find it here too.
