I pay the people who deserve to get paid. stories here don't have an english release yet. most scanlation groups here release for free and while some ask for donations to keep things going, they don't make it mandatory to see a translation done.

Waiting for someone else to take the series only to resume it demanding money is being a hypocrite, if they were going to drop the series, then drop it. What he/she is saying is basically pay up to read. It's not even their own product. They are illegally profiting from someone else original work.
Fans translation shouldn't cost anything. Receiving tips is one thing, but asking to pay money in order to read means business and you need the license for the business.

And those businesses are paying for the resale license to resell Physical book wheres here and on scanlator sites, it is all electronics. In some county (America), the e-book is exempted from sale taxes but they still require the resale license, but this cannot compare to those businesses as this is 1-way transaction money without any taxes on it through Patreon.

Good bait and switch. Also, since you're moving the goalposts, I am subbed to some scanlators on Patreon as well. And I donate to some directly via their websites. Obviously, when the official release comes out, I'm going to buy that. But because the official release isn't here yet, I'm supporting people that do quality work.

Also, that resale calculation doesn't hold any water because the physical and digital versions of books are the same price, even though you own the physical version versus a license for the digital version.

Not to mention that a lot of manga only get released in America because it's popular because of the illegal translation. SQUARE ENIX is picking up several series on this website that have established themselves as popular. I guess to you that must be a coincidence...

If you were to say "Donations", that would have a different meaning as it means to pay for the cost (including hosting their server for image upload and their site domain etc.).

And what makes you think that I don't own some official manga books? Do you even know how a manga book even look like?

btw if you search only the title, miraclescan is barely there in the first page (they're literally at the bottom of the first page)
but if you search with chapter number, miraclescan is barely there in the second page where people might hide the bodies (they're literally at the bottom of the second page)
