Granted Meng Zui went too far having him sleep with her among other things to give him three days to change the Mayor's mind, but selling her out to the Mayor with encouragement to severely punish her seems a bit overkill for revenge. Considering how arrogant the Mayor is along with expecting obedience she might kill Meng or turn her into a extremely scarred quadriplegic as an example or on a whim. Looks like he's going to need to get some more rare materials to help speed up his cultivation again. Granted he's stronger than the average cultivationist, but seems like he keeps running into S-SSS level ones. Mayor probably one who slapped the fourth cover girl. She should have warned him how powerful Mayor is. Be nice if could get a better grip on just how influential and widespread the Chu main family is considering they were able to arrange a marriage contract with the Gong family and Mayor is shocked at who MC's grandmother is. Should've checked Chu Xiao's family background better before having her beaten up and sentenced to death, then would've found out who her grandmother is. Guess this explains why Chengxi's mother had the women she sent to take Auntie Dearest's leg and kidney permanently silenced. In any case, Tao seems like Chu Xiao, hopefully she really likes him for himself as well instead of just for the money. Now to see how the Mayor responds.

TBH I'm so used to seeing mc cultivators slapping faces left and right as they beat everything thrown at them, i don't mind seeing someone who actually loses. I think if he was able to defeat all these women, the story would just be a boring harem male power fantasy. This story isn't a masterwork, but I keep reading it because it's nice seeing an MC that gets as much as he dishes out. I find it funny whenever he gets pushed around by these stronger women, and how unused he is to living in a female-dominated world.

All that being said, I respect the opinions of those who want to see him get stronger and are tired of seeing him defeated. I just wanted to voice that I, for one, have been enjoying the ride.

I don't know how'll they make this story "good". If author takes the Roger's approach people would whine, if author had make this the reverse (Female mc fucking her harem of guys), people would cry she a loose bitch, etc. Imo this concept/general idea was botched.
