Ugh. Forgiveness. Could've done the good o' face to the floor repeatedly instead.

She was abused her entire life to the point of being totally mentally destroyed, and Robin was literally her only beacon of light, and he took advantage of that. Far from an unrealistic thing that would happen irl either. People can be convinced of all kinds of things pretty easily when they are at the end of their rope. Also, this is a pretty wholesome/PG manga so there's no hanky panky lol. Robin just gave her the kindness and attention she never received.

Next ch explains the relationship with Torre a little more. I was also confused by this chapter with him lol. Overall, logic isn't going to be super tight in this very lighthearted fantasy manga. Agnes is shown to be extremely kind and understanding, so we get a pretty quick forgiveness from her hehe
I'm pretty sure that the story has said he's a man slut and uses other women. You think that use is not sexual?
And, no, she's still stupid. Abused or not, she could have waited and seen true colors if she waited. So many women do this, they rush into sex thinking it will get/assure the man's love, but no it doesn't. And if they just wait long enough, they will see the true colors of the piece of shits.

Didn't she do it in the WN? Can't remember.

Robin did get the princess pregnant, after all. He clearly sleeps around.

This adaptation is falling over itself to be as rushed as possible. Can't blame them with that page count and the release schedule, though.
From what I remember, Robin does sleep around with the women he seduces, but not all of them. He did not sleep with Lilianne nor touch her in any kind of sexual or romantic way; only whispered sweet words of affectional love and sympathy. I remember one of the chapters (don't remember if it was a Lilianne pov or FMC pov), but the chapter did say that Lilianne not sleeping with Robin was a saving grace for her and her situation/mental state.

As an aside, I don't think the novel stated that Lilianne loved Robin. It was more like he was a beacon of light that would offer her support and care when no one else would. She clinged to the only person that (supposedly) cared for her, not out of love, but out of necessity and obsession. She was literally starving for affection, and she would go to any lengths to receive any kind of love, whether it'd be from a platonic or romantic relationship with Robin.

I don't care about her reasons, she still tried to murder somebody. Agnes arguably suffered worse than her and still came out a good person that tried to help others. Her past doesn't excuse her actions.

I mean, I love this cute manga but....

Just forgiving an attempted murder does not happen. Sure, there may be circumstances that lessen the sentence, like in real life. But you don't get a "no punishment" verdict for attempted murder.

Also idk what's going on with the fiance. Didn't he ever know her? Did they not meet, ever? Plus he got super ntr'd.

To be honest, I would not just forgive the attempted murder in this situation. Be somewhat lenient, yes. But no punishment whatsoever, no.
And if I were the fiance, I might just leave. I don't think I could ever trust her after something like this...

Worst outcome imo..

No sympathy from me honestly 😐..

She cheated on her fiancée and in turn was disowned, which she kinda should've expected, if she wanted to talk i can't imagine Torren wouldn't have been there for her considering what we've been shown so far and finally she attempted murder and would've succeeded, if it werent for that enchanted top

Hold on, when does she meets her fiance and what was he doing back then? She recognize him so I suppose she met him before, he seems nice so why didn't he reassure her or something before she met the trash??
Yes, a funny backstory where the fiancé has zero role. Historically, with arranged marriages being a thing, it wouldn't necessarily mean anything. Many a man and woman met each other at their own wedding for the first time. Yet, the whole initial setting of this story was Agnes being forced to seek marriage partners on her own, dressed like a potato. Her parents apparently did barely any background work for it. The princess and Robin seemed to have met each other on their own, with nobody knowing about it before the princess was pregnant already.

So, all in all, Lilianne and Torre having had no contact with each other doesn't seem to fit the format. If they were familiar with each other, clearly Lilianne considered Torre utterly unreliable, seeing how she couldn't seek any advice or solace from him, going for the nanpa master Robin instead.
