Good catch, though I still mostly stand by my post there since that level of hinting that mostly works in retrospect doesn't really help much with story beats feeling like they were out of nowhere or not (though there is a hint that they're doing something unscrupulous from the wife's reaction, there's not much of a hint that it's on the level of house-destroying-if-found-out). Though I will admit I was wrong about it being totally out of thin air.
I feel like there was enough. In addition to those small details others mentioned, we can also keep in mind that Robin himself is obviously a con man and all around sketchy. He's all the time hitting on women, regardless of their engagament or marriage status. He impregnated the royal princess out of wedlock and then just kept hitting on women and even sending them out to murder people. He gives zero value to women, other than as objects, merchandise, and tools. The way he does manipulate women so easily means he has got plenty of experience and a suitable background. Human trafficking, concentrating on young women, seems like the perfect trade where to get such an attitude and experience. So, I'd say rather than coming out of nowhere, it actually helps to explain some of Robin's character.
