I didn't really see this being an incest manga, more of a messy relationship between siblings, and if the author went for actual proper siblings love and closure that would've been great.

Wincest still better, but you get what I mean.

What we got was simply nothing, a little open ending with them basically being on friendly terms. What a disappointment

Thats why i never liked reading romance mangas sometimes or just stop halfway through or early if i do see the signs of it not progressing

I read mostly romance manga, or more like manga with a (big) romance part so I can absolutely understand what you mean. I think it's also annoying if romance manga make no progress for like 80 percent of the time and presses everything on the last chapters because of one of the characters had an enlightenment. So I also drop many or lose interest in them...

Yes absolutely. One of the good surprises in this way was horimiya anime which I watched at the beginning of the year and loved it. They really had a good pacing with this. Although the anime had maybe a bit too much characters.
